A: For over 10 years, Hidden Light Films has been one of Toronto’s premiere videographers, serving the Luxury wedding market; from athletes to celebs, we’ve done it all. But as shomer shabbos Jews, there is nothing that brings us more joy than to serve our own community. Thus Ahava Films was born, specifically for that purpose. Leveraging our top tier talent we’re striving to bring a new level of excellence to wedding videography never seen before in the frum world.

Q: How many cinematographers DO WE NEED?

A: Two is usually the magic number, although depending on your unique schedule, locations and specific needs we may recommend more. All of our cinematographers are highly experienced and incredibly skilled in their craft. Having two cinematographers allows us to not only be in two places at once, but to cover multiple angles during the first look, ceremony, speeches etc.

Q: WILL I HAVE A CAMERA ALL UP IN MY SPACE ALL DAY LONG?

A: We get this question a lot. Suffice to say we pride ourselves on being unobtrusive. Go have fun with your friends and family - we’ll do the rest.

Q: DO YOU DO SAME DAY EDITS?

A: No. We value quality over speed. We won’t sacrifice artistry for transient industry trends. Perhaps you’d consider our instagram teaser reel which we can deliver within a week of your wedding to wow all your friends.

Q: Who PICKS THE MUSIC?

A: Music is the heart and soul of any wedding film. If you have something meaningful to you that you’d like us to incorporate into your wedding film, we’d love to hear about it. You’d rather leave it to us? No problem - we’ll source a track that perfectly fits the feel and essence of your wedding.

Q: CAN WE HAVE THE RAW FOOTAGE?

A: Yes, Raw Footage is available for purchase.

Q: Our wedding will be taking place at multiple locations. Will you be able to accommodate the moving around?

A: Of course. We go where you go.

Q: How does the booking process work?

A: We have streamlined the booking process to be as simple as possible. We require a 30% deposit to reserve the date plus a simple “click to sign” online contract.

Q: Do you use lighting?

A: When done right, painting with light will greatly enhance the cinematic feel of your wedding film. When done wrong, it can be harsh and unnatural and ruin the carefully crafted atmosphere you worked so hard to create at your wedding. We use lighting sparingly and purposefully.

Q: How is the audio recorded?

A: One of the biggest challenges when filming a wedding is capturing great audio. While you may not notice when the audio is outstanding, you will certainly notice when the audio quality is lacking. We record audio using film industry grade mics and recorders, from multiple sources, to ensure clean and crisp audio every time.
